High-Design Products Developed as Headliner Facings

Our printed nonwoven fabric has been widely adopted as a surface material for automotive headliners. While knitted fabrics are also used for headliners, we have leveraged the unique properties of nonwoven materials to develop and propose printed nonwoven fabrics that combine cost competitiveness with high design quality. As a result, our products have been featured in a wide range of vehicle models.

Since its launch in 2011, we have continuously advanced the technology, and today we offer a diverse lineup tailored to different grades and design requirements. Starting with designs that revive past patterns and highlight the essence of nonwoven fabrics, we have expanded to include types with fine prints, embossed textures, and even those that deliver a smooth, premium feel similar to artificial leather. These printed nonwoven fabrics go beyond visual appeal—they offer a refined tactile experience that sets them apart from conventional nonwovens. This innovative material truly deserves the name “New Fabric.”

In-House Capability for Design Development and Print Paste Formulation

Our company has the technology and facilities to perform the entire process in-house—from designing patterns and blending a wide variety of print pastes to manufacturing nonwoven fabrics and carrying out printing. This system is the key to making it possible to develop many different types of printed nonwoven fabrics.

Printing technology originally developed to improve aesthetic appeal. Today, however, by incorporating functional agents and particles into print pastes, it is possible to add features such as deodorization, water repellency, and anti-slip properties. The possibilities for adding value to nonwoven fabrics through printing technology continue to expand.

Example of Processing: Applying VOC adsorbent to the surface

In addition, our headliner surface materials use recycled fibers supplied by our group company, Koyama Chemical (located in Tochigi Prefecture, Japan), making them a sustainable material that meets the needs of the times.

We will continue to advance our technology so that we can create products that make your life more fulfilling and more comfortable.
